Sis. Rasha Patterson
Minister Rasha E. Patterson is a God fearing, loving and supportive woman of great faith! Born on November 6, 1975 in Manhattan, New York into a spiritual and worshiping family of the Pentecostal and Baptist Faiths, she learned to establish her relationship with God through her prayer, praise and worship at a very young age. Making a family move to the state of California at the age of 10 was a new beginning for her and it would be the place in which her ministries would be birthed.
In 2004, during her membership at New Philadelphia AME Church, Rasha accepted her call to the ministry and to preach the Word of God and in 2005 after completing the MIT-Ministers in Training, she was licensed to preach. She has served working with the Youth, as a Praise & Worship Leader and as an Armor Bearer to the former First Lady. Yet her greatest role in God’s ministries is that of Single Mother to her beautiful 14 year old daughter, Raevan Grace Chatman! In 2009, Minister Rasha established and is the director of “Women Empowered Ministries” which exists to spread the Word of God and to empower women and young ladies while supporting them on their Christian walk. Women Empowered Ministries is purposed to present these women and young ladies with the opportunities to become empowered by way of, though not limited to, fellowship, bible study and prayer so they may reach out and empower other women and young ladies! Women Empowered Ministries may be found on the social network site Facebook with 212 active members and a weekly interactive bible study and periodically the local members meet for fellowship.
Minister Rasha Patterson is continuing her education and studies in Psychology at the University of Phoenix and looks forward to higher levels of learning in the Southern California Conference Board of Examiners toward Elders Orders.
Minister Rasha Patterson has seen the favor of God over her life and understands the power of “letting go and letting God!”
To God Be the Glory!
