Every male over the age of 35 years should make an appointment with their medical doctor for a physical exam at least once a year; prostate cancer is more prevalent in our Black male community.

New Philadelphia YPD Community Service/Earth Day Project - The YPD will conduct their
Community Service Earth Day event on Saturday, April 23, 2016 by cleaning a local park in Long

Free Clothing Drive. Purple Reign Life Skills Center and the SEQ Hope Foundation in partnership with New Philadelphia A.M.E. Church and the Women of Praise Choir will sponsor clothing donations to charitable groups, and those in need on Sat., Feb 27th, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., on the church park- ing lot. All women’s shelters, transitional housing facilities, and their guests are welcome to come and be blessed. If you would like to donate items, please see Sis. Sharon Cruse.

February is 'Heart Health Awareness Month' On Sunday, Feb. 7th, the Health & Wellness Ministry will hand out pamphlets and pins, from the American Heart Association, regarding heart care. This information will be available in Butler Hall.

SOUPER Bowl of Caring. On February 7th, U.S. young people mobilize to fight hunger and poverty in their local communities by collecting monetary and food dona- tions and give to local charities. NuPhilly YPD will participate; more info to follow.
