Parents, Teens—The Los Angeles Chapter of the Kappa League is hosting a Free Black History Celebration at Morningside High School located at 10500 S. Yukon, Inglewood, CA today at 1 p.m. Come learn the history of the Black Sororities & Fraternities and the programs that they have to offer youth. There will be free lunch, music, and a step show.

Black History Month remains an important moment for America to celebrate the achieve- ments and contributions black Americans have played in U.S. history. The "Nu Philly Care Package" Program. Through this program we can be a source of support and encouragement to our young people away in college. If you've ever been away from home for a significant amount of time then you know how lonely and difficult it can be. We want to remind them that now matter how challenging things seem we love them, and we've got their back! If you have a young person away at college, please submit their name and school address to Navia Payton-Oldham, in the Gospel Cafe. The goal is to begin shipping packages by the new year. The deadline for name submission is December 29, 2013. More information on how you can support this program is forthcoming. Thank you in advance for your support.

Would you please consider donating new unwrapped gift(s) of approx. $10.00 value for student (s) ranging from Pre-Kindergarten through 5th grade.
