Calling all Teachers, Teachers Aides, Counselors, Administrators and Retired School Staff who did not meet with Rev. Hodges last Sunday to discuss the planning of our Education and Tutoring Ministry. Rev. Hodges will meet with interested persons today after the 7:30 a.m. service in the Bilbrew Educational Center, 1st floor classroom.


Immediately following the 10:00 a.m. service, Pastor Walker will meet with all women interested in being a part of the re-organized WORD Ministry. Please meet in the Sanctuary.


Pastor is preaching at 3:00 p.m. at Bryant Temple AME Church, 2525 W. Vernon Ave., Los Angeles.


The Women's Missionary Society (WMS) is a charitable arm of the church and provides benevolence to our community and members in need. In this year, the WMS provided for the funeral repasts of deceased members, care packages for 102 homeless men and women, school supplies for youth, shoes and clothes for the needy, and underwrote the cost of bus transportation for our youth's Orange County Fair trip. Help the WMS continue the good works. Please consider giving a $10.00 donation on the 5th Sunday or any Sunday by placing your gift in a church envelope and mark the "Benevolence" line. Thank you in advance.


Upcoming Events
Pastor Walker wishes to meet with all persons who have an interest in being a part of the re-organization of the Lay Organization. This special meeting will be held on Saturday, October 22nd, 12:30 p.m., Butler Hall.


The 92nd Session of the Southern California Annual Conference begins on October 23rd and concludes on Sunday, October 30th. The 5th District Planning Meeting is on October 31st and November 1st.

The Evelyn Louise Edwards (E.L.E.) College Care Package Committee thanks those who have blessed us with financial donations. Because of you, this program continues to thrive. ‘The Sonshine Kids’ Children Choir Director Patty Robinson is looking for more youth ages 4-13 to join the choir. The number signed up as of last Sunday is 31.
